Better Broadband Connections in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

Since 1st April 2015 businesses in Nottingham, Derbyshire and the East Midlands are eligible for the Government's connection vouchers to obtain superfast broadband speeds.

Your business could get a grant of up to £3,000 to upgrade to faster, better broadband through the Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme. The scheme provides grants of up to £3,000 to cover the capital and equipment costs of upgrading your broadband connection.

Faster broadband enables businesses to take advantage of new technology which in turn allows you to grow and develop your business in the areas such as, cloud computing, offsite backup and remote working. All of which can enhance your work / life balance and speed up productivity.

Who’s Eligible

Broadband Connection Vouchers are available to Small or Medium Enterprises (SMEs) if:

• Your business is within an eligible area one of the 50 cities taking part in the scheme. Check your postcode to find out if you’re eligible
• You are a SME, registered charity, social enterprise or sole trader
• Installation of your new broadband connection will cost over £100
• The connection is for your business premises. You can apply for a connection at home if this is your main work base, but this does not apply if you work from home occasionally
• You are willing to sign up to a minimum 6 month contract with your broadband supplier
