Physical Servers more often than not are under utilised in terms of the computing power they need to run. On average, a typical Windows Server will only use between 20% and 30% of the hardware resources that are installed in the machine (memory, processor and disk storage).

A Virtual Server...provides the same access to the applications and data that your business is used to. A Virtual Server presents itself on your company network in exactly the same way as if it was physical - but it's advantage is it's ability to share hardware resources with other virtual servers that reside on the same physical machine.

A Virtual Server Host is the physical machine where the virtual servers reside. This machine is configured with
an underlying software layer known as a Hypervisor.

Multiple Virtual Servers can be installed onto ONE physical host machine, increasing the resource utilisation
of the hardware but retaining isolation and continuity for your varying applications and functions.
